The GPS units are getting a fair amount of use recently and though they've been featured before, they seemed like a good model for today since I'm pressed for time. Despite the set up for these geocaching oriented lesson plans, the engagement is so worthwhile! They are simply a vehicle for providing hands-on motivation, but that is a necessary prerequisite for true learning. And since learning occurs far outside the classroom, it allows students to connect their 'real world' to the concept of lifelong learning - I love it! Lorenzo Walker campus, Naples, FL
