Ever think about how much transportation services 'drives' the school district? Not just in the sense of budgetary considerations, but how about school start times! We've lost our sensibilities when the big yellow vehicles determine that high school students start their education at 7:15am in the morning, when most teenagers are still in the sleep zone! When did we allow learning to take a back seat to the bus schedule? How did education become so devalued that little consideration is made for primary elements of learning? Never mind - when you consider the emphasis on 'high stakes' testing results, the lack of knowledge is revealed! Central Ave & 8th St S, Naples, FL

  1. I love your connections. Busing is money - and that, too drives education (or the lack of it). Education is undervalued and not well understood by the people making decisions.
Makes for a nice picture - the lines seem forward looking even if the results of busing aren't
