Walking to the Farmer's Market by way of the beach, I noticed how beautiful the moon was this morning and I was able to get a fairly good capture of this awesome orb. Though I shot some pretty interesting scenes this morning, including a live starfish (fairly rare), the frond hat maker at the Farmer's Market, the Palm Cottage weathervane, and the usual 'suspects' (birds!), I kept coming back to this photo of the moon setting as my choice for today's photo...not only because of its significant influence over our world (from tides to exploration to lunacy?), but because of its cyclical nature. Cycles tend to play a large role in life, whether it be the stock market, the ups and downs of happenings, the seasons, and the ever present beginning and end of life - sometimes predictable, sometimes not - it is still a good reminder in viewing the moon that much tends to run in cycles. 4th Ave N & Gulf of Mexico, Naples, FL

This is lovely. There is something mesmerizing about the moon - perhaps it is its rhythm and ever changing shape. Here it really glows.
