Though spring here doesn't have the same meaning as those places with four distinct seasons, the flowering trees mark the beginning of this subtle shift in southwest Florida. The first to bloom is the yellow tabebuia - and its one of my favorites, so you can expect more shots as they burst into full radiance. The period of renewal and growth is often hampered by obstacles and detractors - confused weather patterns and time changes to name a few - but it always manages to survive, offering optimism and reassurance. Something about this seasonal change even lifts the human spirit! Naples, FL
