Street-lined cassia trees in full-bloom starkly contrast with the Florida royal palms... their delicate yellow 'buttercup' flowers, overtaking the standard green leaves, are a seasonal delight while their crooked, twig-like trunks belie the necessary strength in support. Already there's a dusting of the fallen blooms on the sidewalk and street - a sign their season is indeed transient. On a side note, it is nice to see the sun this morning after a uncharacteristic span of 4-5 days of cloudy and depressing skies that didn't even produce much rain!
