These silhouetted branches and leaves invoke a certain starkness in the light golden hues of the setting sun. Though the outlines reveal undistinguished interiors, their shapes alone provide interesting detail and one can extrapolate their own 'details' using their imaginations and/or consider the 'white' space rather than the object itself.

Like an optical figure-ground illusion, foreground and background impact photographs. Looking at the layers and trying to add interest at each depth can make the image more lasting and effective, as discussed in this article. Naples, FL
