We welcomed a little cool dry front this morning, which apparently sent these shore birds to find beak warmth in their feather ruffles. The behaviors of shorebirds are quite intriguing! Actually, these sanderlings joined gulls and other birds in trying to get a bit of rest ... and many do so on a one-legged stilt. But the gathering is certainly reminiscent of crowd behavior where individuals mimic each other's behavior and become more anonymous! 2nd Ave N & Gulf of Mexico, Naples, FL

  1. Like many teens - each thinking they are unique but dressing to fit in.
