NOV282009

NOV282009, originally uploaded by colemama.

Late afternoon sunlight bathes the upper tier branches of this pine tree. With the season's shortened days, the day's light is even more appreciated. Funny how we tend to value that which is less available - ah, the basis of that economic principle, "supply and demand". Most of us get caught up in the day-to-day routines that demand focus and deny appreciation. Rarely do we have the opportunity to bask in the glory of Mother Nature (much less human nature!). As the 365 project for 2009 begins to close, I can't help but appreciate the daily moment (or so) when the focus is purposely 'out of routine' and suspended in a unique position of design, intensity, and reflection. 1. I love the golden light and the golden opportunity to share the 365 with people like you. I am thinking about what next - not sure if I can commit with the same intensity.
