The birds were in mass this morning, flying back and forth, while eyes were keenly focused below for their food source. They gathered in crowds like a community picnic, of sorts, and when one dove for a morsel the others circled back around to see if there were other silvery motions in the water. Their gliding, diving, and soaring was a bit dizzying and though I took many shots, most were out of focus. This one in the forefront was an attempt at 'stop-action,' unfortunately, the good early morning sunlight was on the blurred others. 5th Ave N & Gulf of Mexico, Naples, FL

I love the golden light. Gulls are obviously social - they stay in flocks and follow the crowd.
ReplyDeleteStill a wonderful shot...I love the movement and natural randomness of the composition. :)
