September is fading and the bougainvilleas are still producing magenta bracts, which are paper thin and nearly transparent. Despite their delicate look, they are quite hardy and replicate those beautiful bracts throughout the year in our tropical climate. What is unusual to some is ubiquitous to others and these are quite common in the general landscape (in fact, these were spotted at the drive-up of a fast-food restaurant). Undoubtedly, these will be even more appreciated in the upcoming winter months. US 41 E & Pelton Ave, Naples, FL

  1. Such a brilliant pink! It is a pleasure to see your tropical flowers, especially as our gardens lose their lustre.
