A couple of different types of air plants cling to the branch of a bougainvillea on this bright blue trellis. The epiphytes are suppose to be non-parasitic, but they may still be dangerous to their 'host' when they overtake and suffocate them. They look so harmless....how looks can be deceiving! In this instance both the air plants and the bougainvillea look healthy, but it will be an interesting observation as time passes. Edison State College, Collier Campus, Naples, FL
