The multi-layers of these fan palm leaves show a depth and pattern of green 'points'. They also offer a subtle (and imaginary) relief to the record-hot temperatures that have impacted us the last week or so. Think about the 'fans' used in the past when air conditioning and even electricity was not available! They can also be used to weave palm hats and drink coolers and their berries are edible - a versatile plant to have around! :) 7th Ave S & 10th St, Naples, FL
