A sea of yellow embraces the eye interrupted only with those dainty pansy 'faces' and traces of the sprinkler's early spray. The pansy evokes fond memories of my maternal grandmother who favored these annuals and always commented on the individual nature of their markings and colors. They are planted in our climate now since the danger of any potential frost has passed, but with the loom of excessive humid heat, they won't last long. Naples, FL
