Portabello - freshly harvested and showing it's natural earthiness! Love this hearty and meaty veggie! This one is calling for a toss with olive oil and garlic or grilled with sauteed spinach and sun-dried tomatoes!
Fresh vegetables and fruits always seem so honest - so exposed to their own beauty and blemishes...and ready to make a contribution to our next meal (or so I anthropomorphize...). Quite transparent - very unlike human nature. How much do we lose in not being transparent? Where is the balance, if needed? Naples, FL
