Prepping for next week's attention to "Banned Books"! Final plans for the display by the Book Club will determined at Friday's meeting, but thought a flyer would springboard some conversation. A week to reflect on our freedoms - not just the freedom to read, but to participate in a democracy...a time to remember that not all human beings have that freedom, nor that responsibility. Banning books = fear. Fear and love cannot abide together. I'm sad that there is a banned books list. I'm glad so many make it a point to bring it to our attention so we can actively fight it. Down with fear and darkness. Up with love and light.
