Seeing lots of green these days with our daily showers...this image - a staghorn fern's various elements and one leftover drop of rain! The staghorns are fairly hardy in our tropical climate and they can be seen hanging under trees in many neighborhoods. As an epiphyte, they grow on 'air' with just a bit of peat-like medium. This partial view show both types of leaves - the sterile one (veined and circular) and the fertile one (long and antler-like). A very interesting plant indeed! Naples, FL

  1. Lovely textures - amazing how plants have changed and adapted to their environments.
