Despite the weatherman's claim of dry skies and the lack of color on the radar, it rained a lot this evening - a nice, steady, soaking rain! It was an uplifting change to the hot and dry week of late and will bring growth and renewal in the next few days. President Obama's speech to school children today provided an uplifting pep-talk, as well! Now it is up to all of us to continue to provide those supportive comments on a regular intermittent basis - a necessary requisite for development! Ideally, the one-shot inspirational talk would do it, but just like in learning, it takes multiple messages, given in a variety of ways to incorporate that learning into our 'being'. Naples, FL

It would be nice if just some rain and sunshine could help children grow and flourish. As you point out, they have to be inspired and nurtured in many ways. I love the way you always find connections.
