So what do you think is going on in this 'slice of life'?
The scene is downtown Naples which is primarily tourist-oriented, though locals will come out to shop and stroll, as well. The couple appear to be together (physically) sharing a bench, but apart in thoughts and conversation. What are they thinking about, talking about? What emotions appear to be evident? What values might also be conveyed?

I never quite know if I should be photographing people - sometimes I feel it is invasive. Yet they are the most interesting subjects. These two - apart yet together - the photo tells an interesting story.
