Despite its interesting and colorful appearance (and possible resemblance to this month's favorite squash), this weedy vine is a major nuisance. The young green ridged pod matures into a bright orange one and develops bright red seeds within which explode into the environment, cycling through the process of life again - unless I manage to curtail it... Seems there's a reason for everything in nature, but I'm still trying to figure this one out! :) Naples, FL
