Pulling cranberries out of the freezer to room temperature provides a frosty exterior (obviously not as frosty as the photos of my Flickr friend postings!....but not nearly as tasty either!). Cranberries are a staple in my diet, but I only make Grandma Erma's Spirited Cranberry Sauce once a year - it is definitely a special holiday favorite! :) Other than this cranberry dish, my contributions to Thanksgiving dinner are always non-traditional in nature (from grilled grouper for entree to herbed lentils and rice for a side - part of this year's menu).
